How Does Effexor Differ Form Prozac And Does Increases Dosage Of Seroquel Affects?
Hi, my doctor just upped my seroquel, and started me on effexar, instead of the prozac ive been prescribed for four years,...im very vulnerable right now, im scared, im unemployed, and that is adding alot of crying to my days....can you please tell me how effexar differs from prozac, ?, and also, will it help me?
Effexor (venlaflaxine) and prozac (fluoxetine) are both antidepressants but they differ in their mechanism of action. Both are used for variety of anxiety related disorders also. I would say you should not be worried about the change as your doctor has prescribed you an almost similar alternative. And the alternative might even give better results. Seroquel (quetiapine) dosage adjustments is usually done based on clinical symptoms and response. I hope your doctor has taken the best decision based on your condition. I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcare magic.
