How Does Gluformin Work To Control Diabetes?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I am diabetic and I use Gluformin 850 mg as prescribed by a doctor. Can you explain how this tablet works, for example betnesol table dialates the wind pipe to some extent hence breathing becomes easier, hence it is a remedy for some one who finds difficulty to breathe.

In type 2 diabetes the main problems are the increased liver production of glucose (more than in normal individuals) and the increased insulin resistance.
Metformin is a well-established antidiabetic drug that prevents - albeit only partially - excessive liver glucose production (an important reason of fasting hyperglycemia) and improves insulin resistance (it makes muscle cells more sensitive to insulin). This drugs is particularly useful for individuals with high insulin resistance. Such individuals usually have a higher than normal body weight.
