How Does Norethisterone Help In Delaying Periods?

I have already taken my first tablet of norethisterone to delay my period as I am going on holiday. Wednesday 9th ( today) is 3 days before my period is due, however I have sort of already started bleeding with stomach cramps (exact time of taking the tablet) Shall I carry on taking my next scheduled dose ? Will it be able to completely put my period on hold for 10days ? Thanks

You have not yet started bleeding or spotting.
Please continue the scheduled dosage.
You might be able to put your period on hold if you take the pills continuously for the next 10 days.
Take care.
