Hi,

Oxycodone belongs to a class of drugs called opioid agonists. It is similar to a group of natural substances in the brain called endorphins. These substances work to decrease the pain messages that your body sends to your brain. By mimicking these substances, oxycodone decreases the amount of pain your brain thinks you’re having. The adult dosage that has been recommended is in the range from 5 mg to 15 mg taken every 4 – 6 hours.

Hence, you can take 10 mg at 6-hour intervals, and not exceeding 20 mg as prescribed by your doctor. Kindly follow-up with your doctor as advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
