How Does One Know If Head Injury Has Resulted In Internal Bleeding?
I recently just hit my head off of my boyfriends cabinet, I dropped someone and came back up real quick forgetting I had the door open. It hurt really bad but didn t lose consciousness. It feels like it s bleeding but there s no blood it s like an internal bleeding, what should I do?
Hello, Thanks for contacting HCM, The only way to know that anyone has internal bleeding is by CT scan of the head. But the fact that you get to rays exposure in very great amount during a CT Scan - all who hit his or her head - are not advised for the scan. The thing to be observed are: 1. Severe Headache. 2. Vomiting. 3. Feeling dizzy or loosing consciousness. Any of the above symptom - is an indication of internal bleeding in the head and if you experience any- report to nearest hospital immediately. if nothing of the above symptoms happen in 2-3 days, nothing to worry about. Thanks, Dr Sanjay Mishra.
