How Effective Is Minigynon In Stopping Menstrual Cycle?
Hi I have only taken prostinor 2 as emergengy contraceptive never taken any other birth contrl before now I want to visit my fiance abroad and it looks like I am going to have my menstrual cycle that day :-(( my friend who is a midwife gave me minigynon to stop it , how effective is it cause I feel mentrual cramps still is that suppose to happen still? And is it likely I can still have my menstrual cycle? I am taking minigynon 30 one a day

I understand your concern.
Minigynon contains both estrogen and progesterone while postinor 2 contains only progesterone. There is big difference in content of progesterone also.
But as long as you take minigynon, you shouldn't have your period as this is also used to postpone menses. It should be started at least 3 days prior to expected date of menses.
