Hello, Nordette is a oral contraceptive pill containing levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol. If you want to use it as emergency contraceptive, the first dose must be taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse. Though emergency contraceptive works up to 5 days after unprotected sex, the sooner she takes, the better it will work. Nordette first dose which is 4 light orange pills to be taken as soon as possible then with a gap of 12 hours after the first dose, second dose of 4 light orange pills are to be taken. This is the standard procedure. Emergency contraceptive works but less effective than other methods. As she had taken the pill, there will be very very less chance of pregnancy. Seems like she had her normal menstrual period too. So you don t need to apprehend so much.
