Hi,
Miprogen contains
progesterone is used to restore menstrual cycle in women whose periods have stopped. It is a natural female hormone important for regulating ovulation and
menstruation. It is used in the treatment of
infertility to help you get pregnant.
Miprogen is usually administered by IM injection or as rectal or vaginal suppositories.
Intramuscular injection of >/= 25 mg produces peak concentrations in the luteal region within 8 hours and concentrations are elevated for up to 48 hours; higher doses produce transient peak concentrations similar to those seen during
pregnancy.
Miprogen also is absorbed when administered vaginally or rectally. Vaginal administration of 100-400 mg produces concentrations in the luteal range, which are maximal within 1-8 hours and then decline over 24 hours.
Miprogen is effective both in injectable or vaginal form. Choice is yours. Someone chooses vaginal form to avoid injection induced pain, allergic reactions at the injection site.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
