How Should Miprogen Be Taken?

Hi, I missed my periods and on 35th day ,I did the pregnancy test and it is positive. When consulted the doctor, she prescribed me miprogen 200 mg along with folic acid tablets, siting my miscarriage 7 months ago. I was not instructed how to consume the miprogen tablets. Hence I am taking it orally after food. Can this be consumed after food. Also how can miprogen helps my pregnancy ? please advise Thanks. Lakss

Hi I think you should consult your doctor because miprogen is generally given for vaginal use. It can be taken orally also. You can continue it orally if it is difficult for you to use it vaginally. It can be consumed after food.It is a progesterone which supports implantation and prevents early miscarriages. Hope it helps.
