How Effective Is The Medication Of Lisinopril-20 Mg To Control Blood Pressure?
My husband was at the ER todsy, with really high blood pressure 183/134 he was given 20 MG of lisinopril, it came down to 150/101...he has IGA nephropathy a kidney disorder so we have to go see a specialist..does it take a while for his blood pressure to get back to a normal level?

Lisinopril is one of the most commonly used first line BP lowering medication.
Since your husband has started taking Lisinopril recently and the BP also started lowering it may need another 2-3 weeks to check its efficacy. If the BP is still found to be high then he may need additional drug like Hydrochlorothiazide along with Lisinopril to control the high BP. Hope this answers your query.
