My sister in law is 9 weeks pregnant and is dependent on opiates due to a car accident several years ago. She spoke with her ob/gyn about quitting "cold turkey" but the Dr advised against it due to the stress that it could cause the baby. She has informed us that she can check into a treatment facility for 5 days to receive proper treatment. I was under the impression that treatment would be longer than that. My main concern is the welfare of the baby. We will have her other 2 children staying with us during this ordeal. Just looking for some truthful answers.
