How Is HIV Contracted?

Okay thanks a lot there. But i have one more thing to ask.the day after this incident happened i accidentally popped a big pimple around my cheek and it bled quite. I went outside after that without attending the bleeding pimple because it was not painful. Now i have got a habit of wiping my nose, eyes and cheeks ( gross i know) every now and then.. So i am worried because if i had touched hiv blood laying anywhere outside(public transport)and then accidentally rubbed my hand against the bleeding pimple. Sorry if i may sound crazy but i am loosing sleep over this.. I have an exam but cant study please help me out.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic...

I can understand your concern....

There is very minimal chance of spread of HIV from spilled blood as you have mentioned in history.....

It has been 72 hour passed after exposure I guess according to history...
So PEP also cannot be taken....

So if 72 hour passed after exposure than you have to do nothing and after month you can investigated with fourth generation ELISA testing for HIV....

Take care...

Advise : Physician consultation for further discussion and examination
Hope this will help
