How Is Parkinson S Disease Different From Essential Tremors?
How can you tell if you have essential tremor or Parkinson s? One neurologist said essential tremor, a second said Parkinson s. I am going for another opinion, but would like to know how you distinguish one from the other. My hands do shake. Sometimes, at 6 AM or when I get up, I m trembling (but not cold). When I m more nervous, my hands do tremble more. I seem to be spilling or breaking things more. I will soon be 70 years old. I still hike, go to the gym and swim. Thanks for your help.
hi thanks for posting on hcm i think from what you said you have essential tremors essential tremors is a benign condition and nothing to worry, from what you said like you hike, go to gym and swim and increased when more nervous more suggestive of essential tremors because in parkinson you have walking problems, rigid joints sometime memory loss, specific facial features related to parkinson. hope this is helpful to you. regards
