Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey what are the symptoms of a burnt esophagus? I ate mashed potatoes on monday aND it still hurts when I try to eat other foods today (Thursday) I have experienced shortness in breath at times as well as a constant stinging on the right side of my chest
Your symptoms seem to be related to the burnt oesophagus. I recommend using antacids daily.
I also recommend using PPI medication such as Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning before breakfast. If the symptoms continue I recommend an endoscopy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
