Hello,
As per my clinical experience, a stable
aortic stenosis over a period of time does not reveal a great difference during follow up consultation with EKG unless there are additional features of:
- Repeated syncopal episodes
- Bounding pulses in the neck
- Water hammer pulse (Corrigan pulse)
- Brui ausculatation in the carotid regions
- Breathlessness on exertion
-
Chest discomfort with palpitation
A significant reason for the EKG alteration seems to be in concern with battery operated wrist watch and wired bra , which will definitely change the electrical axis of the heart chambers with peripheral leads tracing.
It is strongly recommended to get repeat EKG with wrist watch and bra removal to avoid such issues and save money of expensive
nuclear stress test.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
