Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My self and my younger sister have had hysterectomies for endometrial cancer. My mother had a hysterectomy although I never heard that she had cancer. My middle sister is now seeing a genetic counselor to determine her own risk. The genetic counselor has suggested that my younger sister and myself be tested for Lynch syndrome as this would significantly indicate a much higher risk and indicate that my middle sister should go ahead with a hysterectomy. How do I go about getting this test done?
