I was told on Friday 10/08/11 that my son,age 4 1/2 has coccyx throat virus. There is no rash and no other complaints of pain.He has been running an elevated temp since 10/5/11. He was seen by MD 10/6/11 throat culture was done.,results pending. UA was also done,normal. He had a follow visit on 10/7/11. He is taking fluids and urinating, appetite is poor. He continues to have fever. The temp ranges 100 -105.2 Tylenol is being given as needed. I would appreciate any further information you are able to provide. Thank you, Peg Wilson. YYYY@YYYY

How Is Coccyx Throat Virus Treated?
Treatment is symptomatic.......try ibuprofen for fever and pain....avoid aspirin... no specific tratment....... IV immunoglobins can be tried...
