How Is Gardnerella Vaginalis Transmitted?

Hi I have a question Im not sure if you ll be able to help me with. My partner has had Gardnerella detected and although weve always had protected intercourse, this was not always the case for oral relationships and I wanted to know whether this could have been passed to me orally
