How Is Pregnancy Due Date Calculated Accurately?

I transferred from 2 different hospitals (from florida to connecticut). When I left florida I think they wrote my due date down incorrectly. They are insisting that Im due on August 21st but my baby is already 9lbs 11oz. I think my due date is the 12th of August. If I go to the ER will they induce at 38 weeks 4 days?

hi..due date calculated from first day of your last menstrual period(LMP)..
EDD = LMP date + 9 months + 7 days..
so it is almost 280 days from LMP date..
