How Is Pregnancy Possible When Having A Copper T?

i am 51 years old and i have 2 boys aged 27 and 22 i had inserted copper T 22 years back still i got pregnent again 9 years back so i consulted the DR she said that there is no copper T she couldn t find it so she did the mini lap to stop pegnancy this year i had gone for a complete medical chek up and while scanning they said that they could find the copper T DR why did the other DR not find it what will i do now is it dangerous pls advise me i have some kind of pain on the right side of my hips and back pain also is this related to this pls help me

There are several possibilities in the situation you have described. Firstly, the doctor who performed the examination earlier may have missed identifying the IUD and/or a sonogram or pelvic scan was not done. A scan would have definitely located the Copper T. Secondly, the IUD may have been displaced from its original position and hence was not identified. The pain in your hips and back may be unrelated and is probably related to your age. Please ask your doctors and get it removed. Usually, there will not be any problem, so do not worry. Take care.
