How Is Swine Flu Vaccine Different From Flu Vaccine?

hi can you tell me is there any difference with vaccine of flue and vaccine of swine flue . Are they same. i want to give vaccine to my child , after asking the same in 2 private hospital , they are telling me that they have flue vaccine and same has been given as a swine flu vaccine.

I understand your anxiety as a parent.Both are the same.You can also try it.But let me tell you,it is a seasonal vaccine and does not have prolonged protection.More over each time this flu infection spreads it comes with a different strain,so it is quite unlikely that the vaccine we are giving and the infection at this time are the same strain,as the vaccine must have been of last strain.so plz have a detail discussion with your treating physician and decide.
