How Likely Is It That The Tobradex Will Permanently Affect My Eyes ?
I have an eye infection. My doctor prescribed Tobradex. I have been taking it for a week and the eye infection went away in one eye but not the other. My doctor told me to keep taking Tobradex for a week. How likely is it that the Tobradex will permanently affect my eyes (glaucoma, cataracts) if I keep taking it?
Long term use of steroids do cause side effects such as cataracts and glaucoma. It is not seen with short term use as in weeks but only after months or years of use.
