How Likely Is One Able Get Over A Uti Without Medication?
How likely am I to get over a UTI without medication? I believe I have one from having a small tint of blood from wiping, after voiding. If I start sipping back unsweetened cranberry juice and large amounts of water now. Could I beat this thing? (Other info about myself) I am a obese 25 year old woman who is now moderately active(1hour daily at lest) and has a daily goal of 1500 calories and have held these goals for 2 months. Also swimming very often. Would this be another reason why?
Thanks for posting your query. If the UTI is very mild and you have a reasonably good immune system - your body should be able to handle this. But its better to take antibiotics to get better faster & to avoid possible complications like residual ....lingering infections. Swimming could be a risk factor , depends on the quality of maintenance of the pool. More important is drinking enough water & passing urine at regular intervals without suppressing the urge. If this is happening very often , you need a scan to check the entire urinary tract. All the best, take care!
