Hello,

* Usually, alternate method of contraception is being advised when depo shot is started as a method to prevent pregnancy.

As you had unprotected sex within 5 days of depo shot, you were not in a definite coverage of depo shot to prevent pregnancy.

But the possibility of pregnancy depends upon your hormone status at that time in relation with menstrual period and ovulation prediction.

Kindly give further details of LMP in regard to unprotected sex for better judgment and guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
