Hi,

Calcium channel blocker is used to treat high blood pressure, help of slowing heart rate, relieve chest pain or angina and control an irregular heartbeat. It lowers your blood pressure by preventing calcium from entering into the cells of your heart and arteries. As a category, calcium channel blockers including Amlodipine, Diltiazem and Verapamil rarely cause erectile dysfunction. Be sure to take your blood pressure drugs exactly as prescribed. This will help minimize side effects.

If erectile dysfunction seems to be a side effect of your calcium channel blocker, talk with your doctor. If you are experiencing problems getting or maintaining an erection while taking a calcium channel blocker, don't stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor first. Your doctor may lower your dosage or switch you another antihypertensive drug. If these don't help, a drug to treat erectile dysfunction may be an option for you. Stop taking calcium channel blockers may help to improve and maintain an erection within short period of time.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
