How Long After Taking Plan B Does Menstruation Start?
I had unprotected sex on the 20th of April, and took a plan B on the 21st. Then I had unprotected sex once again on the 23th and took a plan B on the 25. He pulled out before he ejaculated both times. My period was supposed to start on the 25th but it still hasn t yet. Should I be worried? How long should I wait for my period to start?
The effectiveness of Plan B tablet is about 90%, if taken within 48 hours of unprotected sex. You should have your period normally after taking Plan B, if you are not pregnant However, you are advised to wait for 3 weeks. If you do not get your periods during this period, you are advised to have a pregnancy test done to rule out the pregnancy. If it is positive, then you are advised to see your health care provider.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
