How Long After The Encounter Can VDRL Test Be Taken?
How long should I wait since the risky encounter to the VDRL test to get a reliable result? either positive or negative, I just need to know how can I besure thet I'm not getting a false negative because too little time has happened, or how long usually a good, consistent and reliable positive takes to appear in the results. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Syphilis has an incubation period from 10-30 days. 2. If you undergo a VDRL test after 30 days, you will know for definite. 3. However, genital lesions should occur earlier than 30 days, if you are definitively exposed to it. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
