How Long After Thyroid Surgery Can Ones Voice Be Regained?
Has anyone had thyroid surgery and lost their voice? I am 3 weeks 4 days post-op. I am still whispering. I can swallow and eat normally and I am not having any problems breathing. I can grunt and cough. I also have some low tones in the voice. Just a few days ago I started to make a high pitch breathy noise when trying to scream. Did anyone else go through this? Did it get better? Is there something else I can do to help speed up the process. I am going to see a specialist in a few weeks. I am very scared.
