How Long Allergic Reaction To Lidoderm Patch Takes To Cure?

I had an allergic reaction to a lidoderm patch. I had swelling and itching with blisters on the site where I placed the patch. It has been almost 2 weeks and I still have a big red square which looks horrible. The itching has subsided. Why does it still look this way and how long will it take to go away?
