How Long Before 12 Hr Claritin D Is Out Of The Body ?
How long before 12 hr Claritin D is out of my system? I had been taking it for about 2 months, one morning/one night. I have had severe insomnia for 2 weeks straight and quit taking Claritin 6 days ago, but still not able to sleep. Averaging 0 - 1 hr of sleep each night, which is NOT typical for me prior to taking Claritin. Just wondering when I can start to see some relief from the side effects.

Hi, the reason for which you are not getting sleep might be the gastric irritation it is causing, and it may not be there with every body.
I to my patients with such insomnia prescribe ranitidine300BD along with the claritin to counteract the gastric irritation.
