How Long Can Bactrim Be Taken?

Hi I started bactrim for acne and have only used it 2 days and thought I was just sick the first but noticed I was getting the stomach cramps after taking the pills. Is it safe to keep taking them and see if I quit getting this effect or do I need to consult my prescribing doctor.

Bactrim sometimes gives gastrointestinal disturbances and stomach cramps. I will suggest to try to take a stomach protect pill like Ranitidine/Omeprazol before taking Bactrim.
