Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my 2.5 month old baby was suffering from cold. Doctor had given nasal drop nasoclear and coriminic syrup for 5 days. He improved little but still suffering (specially suffers in night) and since the dosage of 5 days are over I have stopped giving him coriminic. We have been giving him steam as well. Can I give him coriminic 6 drops only in night so that he can sleep peacefully. Please guide.
Yes you can give Coriminic drops for another day or two at night. Let me make it clear that it must not be used too frequently and too long (entire course must not exceed 7 days)especially in babies; 2 year old. Nasoclear drops can be used safely for any length of time. Other measures like steam, covering the baby with warm clothes are also helpful.
Hope my answer clarifies your doubt. I wish the little one get well very soon. Any other queries, please do write to us. Thank you for the query.
Take care
Regards,
