How Long Can IVF-c Injections To Be Used From 15th Week Of Pregnancy?

hello dr, thanks in anticipation for helping , i am now 15 weeks pregnant with previous 2 miscarriages in 10th and 12th week . my doctor advised me to take duphaston twice daily and injection ivf-c(beta hcg). i want to ask for how long i have to use ivf-c injections (upto which week). thanks

Hi..
Welcome to HCM..
Usually progestogens and beta HCG injections are given in the first trimester and can be continued upto 5th month..
This helps to prevent any miscarriage during early pregnancy.
When the placenta is well developed and is able to produce enough progesterone to sustain the pregnancy and fetak development the injections can be stopped..
Your gynecologist may decide depending on the ultrasound and some blood investigations as to how long to continue the injections..
Avoid any strenuous activity..
