How Long Can Vancomycin Eye Drops Be Used?
How long is it safe to administer vancomycin eye drops every 2 hours to a 6 year old? She has a cornea ulcer that was pretty severe and is in the healing process but am concerned about the over use of the antibiotic drops. She is also recieving ciprofloxacin every 2 hours as well.

Vancomycin drops have to be instilled every two hours in the initial stages. Once the healing is started it can be reduced to fourth hourly after discussing with the ophthalmologist. Do not modify the dosage by your own. Daily review with ophthalmologist is recommended.
