I have Cardiomyopathy since 1996. The average life expectancy is 5 yrs, that was 6 yrs ago. The highest my EF has been since my diagnosis was 36%. I stopped working when it dropped to 20% a couple of years ago, because I was having a difficult time controlling the symptoms because of the stress. No doctor can tell you how long you will live.
