How Long Chemotherapy Is Required For Metastatic Bowel Cancer?

My Mum was suddenly taken ill and it was bowel cancer she had operation to remove right hand side of bowel. Scan showed it had spread to her liver. She s just had C T Scan to determine whether it has spread to her lungs? She has been told she will have 6 months of chemo. Nobody will say how long the chemo will give her or how long she has without treatment?

Hi,

The chemo period should be discussed with the place which started the chemo in the first place itself. Also, they will have to get serial tests done to know how much the lesion has reduced post the chemo. Follow up with reports prior to chemo and the chemo drugs she is on.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
