Hi,

How long a drug stays in our body depends on its half life. It takes 4-5 half lives for a drug to be completely eliminated. MDMA has a half life of 12-36 hours while cocaine has a much shorter half life of 1.5 hours.

But the clinical effect will disappear much before complete drug elimination. Clinical effect is unlikely to be there beyond 24 hours, although the blues may take up to 48 hours to clear.

If symptoms stays beyond 48 hours, kindly review with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
