Hi & Welcome to HCM.
It may take 6 to 8 weeks to restore the normal liver enzymes.
1. Basically an
Ayurvedic medication, Liv-52 is claimed to protect the liver from injury or inflammation but there is no scientific data to prove these claims. Liver has its own capacity to regenerate & heal by itself whether you take this medication or not. You can take Liv-52 as you are taking, as such there is no problem in taking it.
2. Udiliv (Ursodesoxycholic acid) is a
bile acid & basically used to dissolve the
gall stones. If you have raised serum
bilirubin then you can take Udiliv tablets.
However had I been your treating doctor, I would advise liver tonics such as
Sorbitol with Tricholine citrate which will improvise your liver enzymes more effectively.
Besides the medications,
Repeat liver function tests after 6 weeks of liver tonics.
Avoid alcohol and tobacco as well.
The diet should contain good amount of carbohydrates, moderate amount of proteins and low in fat content
I hope this answers your doubt.
