How Long Do Compression Fractures And Disc Bulges Take To Heal?

Q: My Father aged 68 had met with an accident & following is the report of MRI : 1. Compression fracture of L1 & L2 vertebra with marrow odema in spinal column. 2. Posterocentral disc bulges are seen at L2 & L3, L3 & L4, L4 & L5 levels indenting the thecal sac & encroaching upon the neueral foramina & compressing the existing nerve route at these levels bilaterally. Neuro Doctor has advised him complete bed rest as he is not able to sit & prescribed medicines. I want to know how long it will take him to regain his normal life so as he can sit & walk. Thanks, Anil Arora
