How Long Do Medicines Take To Be Absorbed By The System?

I was 200 mg of Doxycycline for potential Lyme Disease to be taken just once. I took it on an empty stomach, waited 15 minutes and had a light dinner. 15 minutes after eating I felt very nauseous. I tried to rest but eventually vomited - at this point it was probably 40 minutes after I had taken it. I did not see any pills in the vomit. Did I absorb any of it or do I need to ask my doctor for a new prescription?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, vomiting may not be due to Doxycycline but it could be due to something else, in my opinion just be patience and prepared for next dose then you may not be having such vomiting again, and if this still happening then you can discuss this with your doctor, hope this information helps.
