How Long Do Symptoms Of Mononucleosis Last?

My nephew (11yrs) was diagnosed with a strain of Mono in July. He is still extremely tired, only able to go to school for three hours a day, ankle and knee joints hurt, and headaches. He has had lots of blood work done and a CT scan from neck up, all of which show nothing wrong. What do we do next? Could a strain of mono last this long?

I really appreciate your concern, what ever the symptoms he has may not be due to old history of infection but it seems to be nonspecific symptomatic treatment of analgesic can be tried and wait for some time it will be okay soon ( Tab Ibuprofen can be tried according to weight ) hope this information helps.
