Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Long Do The Floaters Remain In The Eye Post A Vitrectomy?
After vitrectomy the bubble in my eye is now 2/3 down but the area above the bubble line (which has many floaters) moves with the bubble like it is part if the bubble. Is the bubble below the line I see and the area above it connected together and when the bubble reduces will the area above it go away?
* Usual floaters sensation passes away within a period of 10 - 15 days maximally.
If present beyond this period, other causes of alteration in ocular pressure, foreign body inside the vitreous chamber or else has to be considered immediately.
keep splashing of eyes on regular basis to prevent any secondary bacterial and viral infection of the eye site.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
