General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Levaquin contains 'levofloxacin' is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which is used to treat bacterial infections.
Levofloxacin is excreted largely as unchanged drug in the urine. The mean terminal plasma elimination half-life of levofloxacin ranges from approximately 6 to 8 hours following single. The drug and its metabolite should get cleared of the body by 72 hours.
In case you are experiencing symptoms even after a week, it would be better to get yourself evaluated by seeking medical attention promptly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
