How Long Does Depo-Provera Take To Show Effect?
Iv just been for the depo provera injections, I had it 7 months ago so I was quite late but wasn t in an active relationship, the nurse said it wouldn t prevent pregnancy. Does this mean at all or does it just take some time to work? Just wondered when I would actually be protected. Thank you

Usually, Depo-Provera is done every 3 months. So another shot should be done no longer than 13 weeks.
Usually, this period is enough to keep safe of an unwanted pregnancy.
However, I think the nurse said it won't protect from any possible sexually transmitted disease (STDs). This is true, it won't protect from STDs.
