Common side effects after a course of treatment includes : 1. nausea, vomiting 2. stomach pain/upset & diarrhea 3. Tingling in the hands or feet. The effects of the medicine usually last for 8hrs maximum, after which it is completely excreted after intake.
As you have completed the treatment a year ago, it's only needed to assess your serum levels of potassium & also it's effect on cardiac activity.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
