How Long Does Lorazepam Take To Control Anxiety?

MY SON HAS JUST BEEN GIVEN 1MG OF LORAZEPAM FOR HIS MELTDOWNS. I DON T WANT TO GIVE IT TO HIM EVERY DAY JUST WHEN HE IS GOING TO BE IN ANXIOUS SITUATIONS. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO TAKE AFFECT? FOR INSTANCE, HE HAS CEREBAL PALSEY AND WHEN HE GETS INTO CROWDS HE TENDS TO ACT MEAN (KICKING, HITTING, YELLING ETC.) WE DISCOVERED THIS WHEN WE TOOK HIM ON A CRUISE. SO I ASKED MY DOCTOR TO GIVE HIM SOMETHING AS WE ARE GOING ON ANOTHER CRUISE SOON. HOW LONG BEFORE WE GO SHOULD I START THIS MEDICATION?

Hi:

In conditions like serebral palsy, psychiatric drugs such as sedatives or tranquilizers must be used regularly without skipping doses or changing administration times. If they are used in recommended way, they show their effects better.

Hope your son becomes better
