How Long Does Losartan Take To Bring Blood Pressure Level Under Control?
Good day. I am almost 54 years old, female. I am currently taking losartan potassium 100mg. daily since August 2016 for hypertension. How long does this medication totally take effect to make my blood pressure normal. I am also having body discomforts perhaps due to my postmenopausal. Please give me information about the effects of postmenopausal and how long do the symptoms last (palpitations and other body discomforts).
I see 2 main problems in your case which are related: - menopause - hypertension
All your body discomforts is due to menopause. On the other hand, menopause is causing hypertension, which also aggravates the body discomfort (a vicious circle).
The symptoms of menopause usually are worst the first 5 years after stopping monthly bleeding. It might require up to 10 years for symptoms to stabilize.
So, should take ubiquinol Q10 and primrose oil to ease the symptoms. Aloe vera/valeriana, passiflora supplement to ease your neurological symptoms. Altogether, they will cause reduced blood pressure. Do not forget to take vitamin D and calcium supplement.
All the best. Dr.Albana Sejdini
