How Long Does Mederma Take To Remove Scar On Forehead?

Hi, I have a scar on my forehead that came to be about 12 years ago. Only recently have I been using Mederma on the scar (about 3 months) but I have not seen really any difference. It s extremely embarrassing and I hate it. When will actual results appear from using the Mederma gel?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the scar revision via medicinal therapy as Mederma or other gels are best appreciated at a period of 1 week to max 6 months old scar.

* There are no documented results for a removal of scar of 12 years old

* This will require either scar revision or LASER procedure to turn it into cosmetically acceptable skin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
