How Long Does Methadone Stay Actively In The System?
hi i have been getting off methadone for the last couple weeks on my own.... i was taking 1 10mg/ day i cut down to 3/4 for a week or so then down to a 1/2 for a week or so then down to a 1/4 a day for a week & 1/2 my last dose was a 1/4 4 days ago. i have been taking 1 10mg methadone for about 6-7 years straight. my last dose was 4 days ago and i only took a 1/4 how long will the methadone be in my system and how long will the detox and effects of the methadone last??

As the methadone consumption is since year long period, gradual detoxification is best practice as already done by you. So far as the systemic clearance is concerned, it takes around 3-4 weeks after last dose to get it totally out of the system in usual cases like this.
