How Long Does Naproxen Take To Reduce Pain Caused By Cartilage Inflammation?

Hi so I went to the hospital yesterday they put me on 375 mg of naproxen twice a day for inflammation in my chest , its been very painfull for two weeks he said it was like cartliadge inflammation I guess , it seems to be hurting more and I was wondering when it should start to take effect
